Not Every Thought Deserves Your Agreement

Just because a thought feels true doesn’t mean it is.

Many people live exhausted not because of their circumstances, but because of the stories they repeat internally:
“I’m behind.”
“I’m failing.”
“I’ll never change.”

These thoughts feel convincing — especially when they’ve been rehearsed for years.

The Mind Is a Battleground

Scripture tells us to take every thought captive. That implies not every thought is trustworthy.

God never asked us to obey fear, shame, or distortion. He invites us to test our thoughts against truth.

Peace Begins With Discernment

Peace doesn’t come from eliminating stress.
It comes from learning how to challenge what we believe.

When a thought arises, ask:

  • Is this true?

  • Is this aligned with God’s Word?

  • Is this producing peace or fear?

Practice for the Week

Choose one recurring negative thought.
